In 2000, Joel graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University. During his studies there he cultivated an appreciation and love of all things tactile. Long days and late nights in the screen printing studio, and an intimate affair with the design departments antiquated, but fully functioning clamshell printing press forshadowed his passion and eventual arrival to the ranks of surface and pattern designers. Following his design training he pursued a brilliantly exciting career in brand development and corporate identity in the Northwest. His attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and respect for design antiquity poised him as an outstanding talent among his peers. After acquiring more than 10 years of brand development experience in a wide variety of industries, including the home and textile market, Joel realized his ultimate reward by launching his own textiles brand, Joel Dewberry Eclectic Modern in May 2007.
As a prolific designer, artist and craftsman, Joel is thrilled to express his passion for design on the medium of fabric. Joel’s superb sense of harmonizing an eclectic mix of design styles into a cohesive collection has drawn him respect and attention as it delivers a modern yet timeless style.
Joel Dewberry’s designs are a reflection of the way he sees life, value the classic beauty that never goes out of style, but always open to a fresh and modern reinterpretation. Joel’s work is about the satisfaction derived from adding a personal touch to a project, a room, an event and embellishing life in a way that leaves your mark.
Even more than being a designer, the role he is most passionate about is that as a husband and father. With five children he and his wife have their hands full.

Michael Miller was born in the spring of 1999. The brainchild of Michael Steiner and Kathy Miller. Two parents brought together not by love and marriage but solely by professional respect for each others' abilities. By leveraging their lives for an SBA loan, borrowing money from family and living on credit cards, Michael and Kathy were able to give birth to a start-up fabric company called "Michael Miller Fabrics".
The first year in business proved to be just as hard as raising a newborn. There were many long days and many sleepless nights. As a result of limited funds, Michael and Kathy were unable to afford the high rent of a Manahattan office space. Michaels' New York City apartment provided them with the initial space they needed. Kathy spent long days in the kitchen which served as a design studio while Michael spearheaded production and sales in the dining room.
As time went on the company grew to a team of around 20 people and moved to a "home" of its own at 118 West 22nd street in New York City.
This dedicated and enthusiastic group are committed to expanding with a product that stands out in the industry, while at the same time closely tending to the needs of the customers we hope to inspire.
In 2004, our desire to bring a chic and modern perspective to the quilting idustry is what inspired us to start Art Gallery Fabrics. Since then creativity, beauty, and design have been our passions. And to this day, they have not changed.

Art Gallery Fabrics makes fabrics for you. We have made a promise to always keep a consistency in quality and you can rest assured that in every yardage you order that promise is kept.
When it comes to designing a collection we always keep originality and uniqueness on the top of our list. Art Gallery designs fabrics that keep up with ongoing trends and at the same time it encourages our customers to use new colors and patterns so they venture out of their usual comfort zone.
At Art Gallery Fabrics we believe strongly in the quality of the fabric and that is transcended in our superior thread count and fine weave. This makes our premium cotton as soft and smooth you can get. You really feel the difference with just one touch!

Alexander Henry is a premier textile design house, producing cutting-edge, original cotton prints. A favorite of manufacturers and home-sewers alike, our ever-growing collection embraces a wide range of themes inspired by art history, runway fashion and the culture at large.
Under the passionate direction of the De Leon Design Group—Marc, Phillip and Nicole de Leon—our in-house staff of artists paints each pattern by hand. Of the essential studio process, Nicole de Leon explains, "We are painters and we love to paint, and we love that the process is organic and sometimes wonderfully unpredictable. Moving and blending the media is vital to the process." Phillip de Leon, her brother and design partner concurs, "As a fabric company and as painters we feel tied to the tradition of old world textile design. There is an intimacy to our finished product that I believe our clients notice. When we introduce a collection, our customers approach each design as something unique, where the hand of the artist is definitely in evidence."
Located in Burbank, California, Alexander Henry works with a diverse group of manufacturers spanning the accessories, garment and home furnishings industries. The studio is available for exclusive print development and inquiries can be made by clicking on this Studio Services link. We have over 30 years experience as a superior fabric converter and design house that delivers quality, durability and imagination. Let us realize the fabric of your dreams!
Born in 1899, Robert Kaufman emigrated from Russia and settled in New York. Like most immigrants who came to America at this time, Robert was eager to create a prosperous future for himself and his family. By the time he reached his early twenties, Robert had attained his goal as the proprietor of a very successful menswear company named Meadowpark Clothes. Unfortunately, after the stock market crash of 1929, he experienced the demise of his company. Robert continued to persevere and in 1942, from a showroom on Fifth Avenue in New York City, he set in motion the company that exists today. As a jobber for men's suits, the company endured a difficult wartime economy and emerged a successful fixture in the New York garment business.
In 1944, Robert's middle son Alvin was diagnosed with a severe case of asthma. Following doctor's orders, Robert, his wife Edna, their three sons Saul, Alvin, and Harvey, and daughter Gladys had to relocate to Los Angeles.
Although Robert practically restarted his business from scratch, the company flourished and he continued as a Los Angeles jobber for the next ten years. For a brief period during this time, Edna and Gladys ambitiously turned their Seventh Street office space into a thriving retail fabric store by adding a few well dressed mannequins to the window, and cleverly merchandising Robert's inventory.
In the early 1950's, health issues left Robert unable to run the company alone and in 1955, he was joined by his sons Saul and Alvin. With the creation of a fabric named "Windjammer," Saul and Alvin began to move the company away from Jobber to Fabric Converter. "Windjammer," a rayon/cotton linen, became a hit with major department stores throughout the country. Following "Windjammer," Saul and Alvin introduced a line of velvets, plaids, and seersuckers as well as a program of printed chiffons and satins imported from Japan. Harvey, the youngest of the brothers, joined the company in 1963. With just Alvin, Harvey and Saul to run the expanding company and act as the national sales team, Harvey established a nationwide sales force. They continued to expand their line of fabrics, and in the mid 1970's, 100% cotton prints were introduced to the line as well.
During these years and into the 1980's, sales to the manufacturing customer grew significantly. At the same time, the existence of fashion fabric retailers was dwindling and this shift in the retail fabric market pushed Robert Kaufman to focus on the quickly emerging quilting industry. Although a new market for the company, the transition was effective due to the expansion of Kona® Cotton Solids and the unique talents of their very first signature artists Debra Lunn and Michael Mrowka. With the further addition of Jennifer Sampou, Robert Kaufman was catapulted into the quilting mainstream.
From this point to the present day Robert Kaufman has remained a dual focused company, with an equally held commitment to both the Manufacturing and Quilting Retail customer. Today, they operate two separate design studios, each one generating fabrics specific to the quilting and manufacturing customer. With the in-house quilting and manufacturing studios, run by Evie Ashworth and Debbie Call respectively, Kaufman also employs a large family of talented signature artists that supply innovative exclusive collections to the line. On top of these exclusive collections, Kaufman has the biggest offering of in-stock basics, including proven brands such as Fusions, Kona® Cotton Solids, and Artisan Batiks. Robert Kaufman also boasts a variety of designer collections, including collections by Valori Wells, Ann Kelle, Lunn Studios, Darlene Zimmerman, Jennifer Sampou, and Carolyn Friedlander.
Though Saul passed away in 2011, Alvin and Harvey are still lovingly involved in the business their father began more than seventy years ago. Robert Kaufman Company continues the family tradition into the third generation with sons Joe, Steve, Ken, Ron, and son-in-law Eric now heading up the company's management. Robert Kaufman employees have become part of the Kaufman family, as well. Many have even played an integral part in the company for over thirty years.

“In a world where the moments of our lives can be captured and created in art of the everyday, it’s important it reflects our own unique personality. Finding just the right objects, accents, and tools to use are most important. Whatever your artistic vision is, exploring the imaginative is a chance for our creativity to escape understanding. Remember life isn’t about finding yourself – life is about creating yourself…”

Rowan is an internationally renowned design-led luxury handknit yarn company, producing two pattern collections a year to support our portfolio of premium yarns.
Rowan was first established in 1978 by two Yorkshire men, Stephen Sheard and Simon Cockin. Initially with offices based above a grocery store, the business soon moved to Green Lane Mill, Holmfirth, where the Rowan team still work to this day.
The aim was to develop colourful rug weaving yarns, as there was a lack of vibrant yarns on the market. The new Rowan yarns were targeted at designers and creative crafters so they could produce exciting contemporary designs. With the help of designer Kaffe Fassett, the focus quickly changed to handknit yarns, and the rest is history.
We are an ethically conscious brand, with an emphasis on creating luxury, premium yarns sourced from organic, natural fibres. Rowan distributes its products worldwide - yarns, magazines and dedicated yarn brochures are available from independent and national retailers as well as department stores.
Being a design-led handknit yarn company, we produce two pattern collections a year to support our portfolio of premium yarns; Autumn/Winter (15th July) and Spring/Summer (15th January).
The much acclaimed Rowan Magazine is released inline with the new seasons, featuring designs from our in-house design team led by brand manager Kate Buller, and head designer Marie Wallin along with many freelance designers, including Kaffe Fassett, Martin Storey, Sarah Hatton, Sarah Dallas and Jean Moss.
2011 saw the launch of our 50th Anniversary edition of the Rowan Magazine, which celebrated our inspirational use of colour, texture and pattern with which Rowan has become synonymous over the years; indeed many of our magazines have become collectors items.

Monaluna is a small, independent organic fabric company based in Walnut Creek, CA. The company is owned and operated by Jennifer Moore and her husband David Miguelucci, with assistance and inspiration from their young daughter Anabelle.
Monaluna was started in 2010 by Jennifer, a designer and textile artist, out of a desire to bring more sustainable alternatives to the fabric marketplace. "I have always loved sewing and creating with fabric", Jennifer says, "but as I learned about the environmental impacts of fabric production I became committed to making more environmentally-friendly options available to sewists and quilters." The company started small, but has been growing steadily, and is now producing 4-6 new collections per year.
About the Fabric
All of the Monaluna collections are now GOTS-certified organic, which ensures that the fabrics meet strict environmental standards as well as being safely and equitably produced. The designs are printed on premium organic cotton with a high thread-count, which gives them an exceptionally soft and high-quality hand.
Monaluna fabrics are characterized by a graphic and modern style, and are often whimsical and humorous. After years in the children's product market, Jennifer creates designs that are very appropriate for kids, but which can cross over to adult projects as well.
About Jennifer Moore
Jennifer studied Cultural Anthropology and Design at the University of Minnesota before embarking on her career. Jennifer has worked in various aspects of design, including toy design for Manhattan Toy, childrens' apparel for Target Corporation and decorative accessory design for Pottery Barn Kids. Finally, Jennifer decided to pursue her creative vision by starting her own company, Monaluna. Jennifer's creative inspiration infuses both her business and personal life. She strives to create a life that is in balance, where her work and home are both informed by her love of beauty, nature, art and creative projects.
